Pum’s favourite recipes…Simple Sunday Smoothie Bowl

When I’m making smoothies on a weekday I tend to add more liquid so they’re easier to drink up through a bottle on the go.  However if I am afforded the luxury of taking my time with breakfast, the thicker the better I say.

There’s something more special and decadent about taking your time eating a thick smoothie bowl with a few crunchy toppings than chugging back a smoothie drink in a rush.

My current favourite base for smoothie bowls is frozen blueberries, under-ripe banana (I do love a green banana) and lots and lots of fresh spinach!


Pum’s Simple Sunday Smoothie Bowl

  1. 1 cup frozen blueberries
  2. 1 banana
  3. 1 cup fresh spinach
  4. 1/2 cup frozen mango
  5. 1 cup almond milk
  6. 1 tbsp. almond butter
  7. 1 tbsp. mixed nuts/seeds/dried fruit for topping
  8. 1 tbsp. flaxmeal for topping
What Pum did
  1. Combine all the smoothie ingredients in a blender and whizz up until super smooth.
  2. Add to a bowl and sprinkle on topping ingredients.
  3. Tuck in with a spoon.
