Pum’s favourite recipes…Happy Honey Walnut Porridge

Whenever I feel a scratchy throat or sniffly nose coming on I reach for a little of the delicious golden nectar that is honey.  There’s something about the soothing honey that helps me feel right on the mend.

Honey is widely known for it’s health and beauty benefits and when used in moderation can help aid weightloss.  One way I love to use honey is in my happy porridge which provides a high energy breakfast that makes me feel good all day!

Pum’s Happy Honey Walnut Porridge

Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup oats
  2. 1 cup water
  3. Small handful walnuts
  4. 1 tbsp. + 1 tsp. runny honey
  5. 1 tsp. vanilla extract
What Pum did
  1. Combined the oats, water, vanilla extract and 1 tbsp. honey in a pan and stirred over a low heat for 5 mins.
  2. When reached a thick porridge consistency removed from the heat and topped with walnuts and 1 tsp. honey.
