Papaya is such an amazing fruit and is so good for you. The health benefits are massive including lowering cholesterol, aiding weight-loss, improving eye-health and helping digestion.
Because papaya has a more delicate and neutral taste, it goes well with so many different combinations of ingredients. I like to pair it with other slightly less strong flavoured ingredients (raw spinach, cucumber and banana) and let cinnamon and ginger dominate. However pairing papaya with pineapple or mango would make it wonderfully tropical and delicious too!
Pum’s Perfect Papaya Green Smoothie
- 1 papaya
- 1 small banana
- 1/4 large cucumber
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- Chopped up the fruit and veg and added to a blender with all other ingredients and whizzed up.
This for me is just health in a glass and I love it.
