Pum’s favourite recipes…Pretty in Pink Smoothie Bowl

Another favourite breakfast recipe coming your way…

I love a good-looking breakfast bowl.  It might seem ridiculous to some, but eating a well presented meal does generally make me happy!

Pum’s Pretty in Pink Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup fresh raspberries (saving a few for garnish)
  2. 1 frozen banana
  3. 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  4. 1/4 cup buckwheat
  5. 1/4 cup oat bran
  6. 1/2 cup coconut milk
  7. 1/2 cup water
What Pum did
  1. Combined the oat bran and buckwheat with the water and coconut milk and leave to soak overnight.
  2. In the morning add all ingredients to a blender and whizz up.
  3. Top with remaining fresh raspberries.

This smoothie bowl is lovely and thick and really filling!  When having this I probably try not to have too much more fruit throughout that day as there’s quite a bit of natural sugar in this…but hey it’s all goodness to me!

It wouldn’t be as thick but I’m sure it would be tasty! More of a smoothie than a smoothie bowl. I would soak a mixture of oat bran and porridge oats if you have them. I always find buckwheat in tesco either next to like the wholefoods/nuts section or grains/lentils xx
